Technical Specifications
Amacuro Fine Flavor Premium
Amacuro Cocoa is found in the Eastern end of Venezuela, specifically at the mouth of the Orinoco River, in the Delta Amacuro State. It is cultivated under shade, in deep, floodable soils that drain with ease.
Most of the plantations are located in the highlands of the distributary channels that forms the Delta, thus making extraction difficult during the rainy season. This Cocoa is the product of ongoing crosses of Trinitarian types by Amazonian varieties, and its harvest lasts for 8 months of the year due to the abundant rainfall generated in the area.
